This is a very advanced level and unique course to deal with fat reduction, cellulite, and body shaping and we cover different non-invasive treatments and technologies.

Topics include:

Introduction to body shaping, science & history behind fat deposits and cellulite, what Can be treated, assessing patient suitability, understanding the Contra-Indicators, body charts, skin and body analysis, treatment variables and selection of treatment technologies, treatment guidelines, side effects and aftercare guidelines.

In the technologies unit, we cover different type of machines with Monopolar and Multipolar Radio Frequency, Ultrasound / Cavitations, Cryolipolysis, HIFU, EMSCULPT, Vacuum, Laser / LED Lights, Hydra facial and Mesotherapy. We also teach how to check and select the good standard machines and equipment and about the basic maintenance and quality standards.

You will learn safe work practices and client health. This is a very intense level course and includes assignments as well as home study.

You will build a portfolio of evidence, perform practicals, and review case studies. You will also need to arrange models for your assessments. 5 days real clinic environment practice also required as part of this course.

Please note, this is blended course (online and centre attendance required) and include 10 online video lectures, 5 days extensive clinic practice followed by portfolio, assignments and live treatment assessments.

Assessment Process

Learners will be required to complete a short written assessment paper at the end of the course. qualifications are assessed externally by practical examinations and Multiple choice exam papers

• within the practical observation the assessor will observe the consultation, Client care, health and safety and appearance and marks will be awarded for all these areas

• some areas require minimum marks to be achieved. Failure to achieve the minimum will result in failure of the unit and this may need to be retaken at another date

• the pass mark for the practical is 60% for each unit

• the Learner will need to pass all exam papers and the practical examination to achieve the full diploma.

• Grading Scheme To gain a qualification all units must be passed or achieved. Portfolio-only units will be designated “achieved” or “not achieved”.

Creating a portfolio of evidence

• As part of this qualification you are required to produce a portfolio of evidence. A portfolio will confirm the knowledge, understanding, and skills that you have learned. It may be in electronic or paper format.

• Your assessor will provide guidance on how to prepare the portfolio of evidence and how to show practical achievement and understanding of the knowledge required to successfully complete this qualification. It is this booklet along with the portfolio of evidence that will serve as the prime source of evidence for this qualification.

• Evidence in the portfolio may take the following forms:

• Observed work • Witness statements • Audio-visual media • Evidence of prior learning or attainment • Written questions • Oral questions • Assignments • Case studies

• Where possible your assessor will integrate knowledge outcomes into practical observations through oral questioning.

This course is for Health Professionals. Non health professionals should have at least 2 years of aesthetics or beauty industry working experience or those have done a Diploma in Human Anatomy and Physiology or Diploma in Laser & IPL  Treatments.
